North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has been the butt of many jokes over the years, but apparently he can take it, according to South Korean officials.

Kim recently revealed to visiting South Korean diplomats that he was “very aware” of his image abroad, Reuters reports, citing Blue House officials familiar with the talks. As the young despot wined and dined his guests, he reportedly cracked a few jokes about himself.

During a period of rising tensions, Trump assigned Kim the nickname “Rocket Man,” which he later derogatorily changed to “Little Rocket Man.” The president has also mocked the North Korean leader, calling him “short and fat.”

North Korea responded by sentencing Trump to death for insulting the supreme leader. The North also flipped out when the Sen. John McCain called Kim a “crazy fat kid.”

But, apparently Kim is not as easily offended as North Korean state media might have the world believe.

Talking in a “relaxed” manner, Kim joked that it must have been tough for poor South Korean President Moon Jae-in to organize all those national security meetings after each weapons test in 2017.

“President Moon has had a rough time chairing national security meetings at the break of dawn whenever we fired missiles,” the North Korean leader said.

North Korea has offered to put a hold on nuclear and missile tests while talks are ongoing. “If working-level talks ever cease and hostility appears, [Moon] and I can easily resolve it with a phone call,” Kim added.

Kim and the others present at the meeting in Pyongyang dined on cold noodles and put away quite a good bit of liquor. “The bottles kept coming,” one South Korean official revealed.

Trump and Kim are expected to meet in the near future. Only time will tell if that meeting goes as smoothly as the one in the North Korean capital did.
